Abstract :
Wavelength routing in a 5×3 polygrid network is investigated using both heuristic and integer programming algorithms. Each link has several carrying a small number of wavelengths, and the authors show that in this situation the wavelength blocking is considerably reduced over networks with only one fibre on each link
