Abstract :
Let X and Y be two k-dimensional statistically independent random variables. Distribution-free bounds for PR{Y < X, for an r-out-of-k:G system} are obtained based on statistically independent component samples of X and Y. Also, for cases with statistically dependent component samples, we delineate the nature and implications of various s-dependence assumptions.
