Abstract :
The authors report results on simultaneous transmission and dispersion compensation of four wavelengths (200 GHz spacing) over 520 km of NDSF at 40 Gbit/s, and 120 km span lengths, with Raman pre-amplification to extend the last span to 160 km. Individual channel Q values between 7 and 8 were achieved with 231-1 PRBS pattern length
