Abstract :
This first tutorial describes a mathematical model that relates the lamp, eye and brain response to voltage fluctuations and the severity of the annoyance caused by the resultant lamp flicker. It then describes how the model is used in the formulation of relevant quality of supply regulations and flicker meter design.
