Abstract :
Integrated circuits grew denser and faster in 1982. The n-channel-MOS 64-K dynamic random-access memory, the new industry benchmark, enjoyed widespread availability. Following close on its heels is the 256-kilobit RAM, due for commercial production in Japan in early 1983.
