Abstract :
A progressive Differential Push-Pull (DPP) method was developed. In dual-layer Blu-ray Disc recording, a conventional DPP signal is adversely affected by stray light reflected from the other recording layer, and the tracking servo sometimes becomes unstable. This paper presents an example of an optical head for dual-layer Blu-ray Disc recording. A photo detector for optical head designed to reduce the effects of stray light was developed.
