Abstract
Recently, the first of several variable speed compressor drives with a rating of 30 MW was commissioned, driving a natural gas compressor supplied from a large distribution system in North America. In this paper, experiences of the planning and commissioning phases are reported, with special consideration of the compatibility levels for harmonics and the efforts necessary to meet these limits
