Abstract
In this paper real time FIDVR events data obtained from PMU measurements was used to calibrate the composite load models. More than 70 events observed in Southern California since the late eighties. The recorded data was used to tune the parameters of the composite load model to match load composition at these load buses. Simulations were conducted under different operating conditions. The simulation results are then utilized for the dynamic reactive planning for the system. This paper provides an application for utilizing PMU data in tuning models for planning studies.
