Abstract
The Working Group on Operator Training (WGOT) and the Power System Restoration Working Group (PSRWG) established a joint task force in 1992 to determine how to train system operators in the area of system restoration. The initial assignment for this task force was to determine what is the present level of restoration training being given to system operators. To perform this task the new task force developed a survey and sent it to electric utilities across the NERC regions. The survey was designed to categorize existing programs and to surface additional training needs. The survey was also to serve as a reference for those utilities embarking on a power system restoration training program
