What effects might electromagnetic pulses from exploded nuclear weapos have on nuclear power plants? Might they cause serious accidents in the plants? While preliminary investigations have indicated that such accidents are not likeiy, the Nuciear Regulatory Commission studying the matter to help the U.S. government decide whether new safety requirements are needed at the plants.
