  • Abstract
    Researchers from NTT in Japan have created a photonic crystal (PhC) laser with a sub-micron-sized buried heterostructure, allowing ultra-wide modulation bandwidth with milliwatt power input. Intended for use with optical interconnects, the work is part of efforts to develop the next generation of computer chips.
