Abstract :
Because of the advantages of quantum cascade structures and the high attraction of multicolor detection in the infrared region, we try to introduce a new dual-color photodetector based on quantum cascade structures with the ability of detecting two simultaneous wavelengths through two independent output current paths as the main difference with other proposed structures. Based on the detection active regions of two wavelengths, two different structures have been proposed in this paper, and the detector parameters have been calculated for both structures. The proposed idea may be generalized to a multicolor photodetector which can be considered as a spatial wavelength-to-current optoelectronic demultiplexer.
