Abstract
A discussion is presented of the application of electronics in the new line of US cars. Descriptions are given of an electronic control module for monitoring engine operations and environmental conditions, a multiport fuel injection device, and a sequential fuel-injection system. An electronic air-suspension system of adjustable air springs controlled by a microcomputer is also described. Voice information systems and their problems are discussed. Finally, self-diagnosis systems are examined.
