Abstract :
A novel system architecture with analog YUV and HV interfaces is presented. The architecture allows easy implementation of memory-based features in highly specified TV sets. Integrated circuits and memory-based features which fit into this architecture are discussed. It is concluded that by defining adequate analog interfaces and by developing some new video processing ICs one can make flexible chassis designs with respect to memory-based features. The features can be applied in the same chassis in a large variety, giving diversity in TV set production without extra cost penalties
