Abstract :
The unique aspects of a novel pix-in-pix IC are described. The IC receives two composite video inputs and provides an overlayed composite video output. All video decoding and encoding is performed in the IC using digital signal processing. The IC uses a single clock. Particular attention is given here to the digital demodulation of small picture chroma with an asynchronous clock and luma display skew correction
