Abstract :
There are numerous studies that are being conducted in elucidating the biophysical effects of cells. The papers highlighted in this review present several different approaches to tease out the contribution of multiple factors in these highly complex systems. As the field moves forward, the ability to perturb the in vivo cellular microenvironment in order to promote tissue regeneration will directly benefit from our understanding of the physical (and chemical) factors that regulate cell behavior.
