Abstract :
This article provides the application engineer a simple method of calculating the effectiveness of each starter needs to be used and discusses the issues that must be considered for each type of starter and outlines the strengths and pitfalls associated with each starter type. With the considerations on primary reactor, autotransformer, star delta, and solid-state reduced-voltage (SSRV) starters.
