Abstract :
Simple two-dimensional (2-D) wavelet systems are used in a moment method to analyze a microstrip discontinuity. This allows one to efficiently compress the impedance matrix. The achievable sparsity is discussed for different resolution depths where up to 85% was obtained for an error below 1%
