Abstract :
The road sweeper, one type of the sanitation trucks, is suitable for the promotion with new energy technology for the stable vehicle working conditions and governmental operator. A market survey is done aiming to the existing products, which merely use the Battery-Powered Electrical Vehicle (BEV) scenario. The disadvantage of short cruising distance(one charge distance range is less than 30km), light load capacity (about 1000kg lighter) and high components cost become obstacle to enhance the market sharing. This paper presents a scenario similar to Range-Extended Electrical Vehicle (REEV) based on market survey and simulation analysis usingMATLAB/Simulink model. The new scenarioreduces the battery capacity by 2/3 and lightens the curb mass over6.5%, with a lower vehicle cost, longer cruising distance and better dynamic performance. All these advantages enhance the competitiveness of the products.
