Abstract :
The authors targeted the following goals in developing their FM front end IC with a new system: (1) to develop a practical system that prevents intermodulation; (2) to develop a system that enhances the masking phenomena characteristic without degrading the intermodulation characteristic; and (3) to increase the dynamic range of MIX input. By using this IC, the interference characteristic that had previously posed a problem for this block was significantly suppressed. The newly developed FM front end IC also facilitates the simple design and mass production of car stereo FM tuners featuring high sensitivity and a wide service area
