Abstract
This paper focuses on the suppression of the leakage flux and thrust ripple for slot-less tubular permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (TPMLSM). The winding factors of the unipolar and bipolar winding structures were analyzed firstly. And then the convex pole was used to reduce the leakage flux and improve the average thrust mainly for the bipolar winding structure. On this basis, the primary core compensation was adopted to reduce the thrust ripple, which is carried out based on the analysis of the asymmetry inductances.
