Abstract :
A rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA) algorithm useful for studying the radiation and scattering from three-dimensional (3-D) inhomogeneous objects is developed. A spherical electromagnetic (EM) state variable (SV) form of Maxwell´s equations is presented. The RCWA method is used to numerically study EM dipole radiation within and exterior to an inhomogeneous spherical shell
