Abstract
Based on an improved result and a simple, complete parametric solution of the generalised Sylvester matrix equation AV+BW=EVF, a complete parametric approach to eigenstructure assignment in continuous-descriptor systems via output feedback is proposed; parametric forms of the gain matrix and the eigenvectors associated with the assigned finite closed-loop eigenvalues are presented. The approach requires no conditions on the assigned finite closed-loop poles, and guarantees the closed-loop regularity
