Abstract :
Motor drive system is the core system for electric vehicles. When works, the common-mode current will be generated on power cables of three-phase inverter system, so the serious unwanted emissions and safety problem will be caused in three-phase inverter system for electric vehicle. The DC cables and AC cables will work on as the antenna because of power cables´ long length, so the radiated EMI will propagate to the space to interfere other electronic component of electric vehicles. Therefore, the power cables radiated EMI of three-phase inverter for electric vehicle is researched in this paper. The radiated EMI generated by power cables is predicted by analyzing the mechanism of radiation emission by common mode currents in DC cables and AC cables. The radiated EMI model of DC cables and AC cables is established in CST software, and the simulation results of the surface current, near-field and far-field radiated EMI at different frequency are obtained. Finally, the DC cables and AC cables radiated EMI model is verified by comparison between the predicted results and simulation results.
