Abstract :
This paper deals with a square wave interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) for pure electric vehicles. Firstly, a global integrated matching design concept is proposed which emphasizes the regional performance analysis. On this basis the performance indexes are determined to meet the power requirements of a two-seater pure electric car at different driving speed. Then a 10kW square wave IPMSM is designed, analyzed and optimized according to the proposed global integrated matching design method. Finally, an optimized prototype is fabricated and tested. The test results show that the prototype can meet the need of the driving system, also verify the accuracy of the design.
