Abstract :
Power lithium battery of manganese oxide is for the study in this paper, including its heating mechanism. Based on heat production caused by lithium-ion battery internal resistance, the heat transfer model for the battery was built. By the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method, cooling performance of a battery pack composed of LiMn2O4 prismatic cells was simulated. And experimental data obtained by monitoring this pack was analyzed. According to this method we can make some reasonable proposals on battery cooling system designing.
