Abstract :
The influence of iron group elements on hardness and voltage withstanding capacity, as well as the interrupting ability of CuTeSeFe allows, is investigated. It is found that the addition of Fe into CuTeSe alloys increases their hardness and voltage withstanding capacity but shows little effect on the interrupting ability. The results show that a CuTeSeFe allow with about 2% Fe is a better contact material than CuTeSe for vacuum interrupters
