The ComSoc 2020 strategic plan: steering our future [The President´s Page]

In accordance with the progress in recent decades of globalization and the evolution of a knowledge-based society, we created a ´Golden Triangle´ vision for the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) at the start of 2010. At that time one of us (President Byeong Gi Lee) proposed that ComSoc´s main missions of advancing communications engineering and arts and promoting high professional standards, could be better accomplished by enhancing ComSoc´s operations with a more open, healthy, diversified, and balanced culture. The ´Golden Triangle´ with three vertices at globalization, young leaders, and industry has been implemented vigorously throughout the past two years by active collaboration among four Vice Presidents, 15 Directors, the IEEE Division III Director, and other volunteer leaders and staff.
