Abstract :
An battery management system based on MSP430 and BQ76PL536A is developed in this paper. It has several significant function in this design, which using ampere-hour integration method with temperature and current correction as a simple and effective algorithm for SOC, using the full charge-discharge and the circles for SOH, using SD card for using information recording for trace. It using CAN bus communication between MSP430 and controller, using USB communication between MSP430 and computer. It has voltage and temperature monitoring, battery equalization, charge and discharge protection,etc.
