Abstract :
This article looks at the latest lofty development in the renewable sector particularly in wind farms. It discusses about the challenges of airborne wind turbines. Designs of airborne wind turbines (AWT) fall into two types - helium-filled blimps and kite-based designs, all of which are anchored to the ground via a winch-operated conductive tether.
