Abstract :
A two-dimensional (2-D) PANDA/multimode fiber array using microferrules was fabricated for use in photonic switching modules. This 250-μm pitch 8×8 fiber array (a channel density of 16/mm2 ) had an average fiber position error of 2.25 μm, and crosstalk of less than 20 dB for beam traveling distances of 30 mm
