Abstract :
The sol-gel process is used to prepare BaTiO3 based Ba-Ti-B ferroelectric glass-ceramics, and ferroelectric thick-film capacitors are then fabricated from such sol-gel derived fine powders using the screen-printing technique. The preparation process for these novel capacitors are described and the structure and dielectric properties of the glass-ceramic capacitors are reported. Experimental results show that compared to the conventional thick-film capacitors, such sol-gel derived glass-ceramic capacitors can be well sintered at a lower temperature and exhibit excellent dielectric properties, indicating pronounced advantages of the sol-gel derived glass-ceramic in the application for thick-film capacitors
