  • Abstract
    The ergodic capacity of dual-hop wireless communication systems with amplify-and-forward fixed gain relays over composite multipath/shadowing fading channels is investigated. Closed-form bound based on Jensen´s inequality for the capacity of a dual-hop transmissions system is derived. Numerical results show that the power allocation between the two hops may have effects on system performance.
