Abstract :
The engine speed control is an essential part when using Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), and this makes non-electronically controlled engine become an obstacle when using AMT technology. In order to solve this problem, a motor-driven throttle servo system is designed, which adds electric control unit and actuator to the traditional engine. The system is a separate module, and achieve coordinated control functions via CAN bus. Bench test and on-vehicle experimental results show that the servo system works efficiently, and matches engine control requirement in AMT vehicle.
