Abstract :
The Guide for Differential and Polarizing Relay Circuit Testing, ANSI/IEEE standard C37.103-1990, is summarized. This guide describes tests that should be used to help ensure correct connections of differential and polarized directional relay systems. Primary injection, secondary injection, and in-service tests are described in detail with comments on the practical and possible results. The various types of tests that may be performed on new or modified installations in order to help ensure correct relay operation are mentioned in this summary
