Abstract :
This paper firstly introduces the main circuit of traction drive system of HXD1B locomotive, and gives the operating principle of a single phase four-quadrant PWM rectifier. Then based on measured data, the power factor and harmonics characteristics of HXD1B are analyzed. The statistical rules on the power factor and harmonic contents are summarized, which can be used to build a probabilistic model for the HXD1B locomotive.
