            Abstract :
Current peaks due to transient SCLC (space charge limited current) were observed in LDPE (low-density polyethylene) at 70°C. From the time at which the current peak occurs, carrier mobilities ranging from 5×10-15 to 7×10-14 m2/Vs were obtained. The mobility values obtained for LDPE depend on both applied field and hydrostatic pressure and verify hopping mechanism. The presence of space charge has been confirmed by analyzing discharge currents measurements
