Abstract :
In this letter, a high-resolution 4-to-8 GHz-matched dipole probe for near-field mapping of apertures and oversized waveguides is presented. Thanks to its high selectivity, the proposed structure is able to measure with high precision a single linear component of the E-field in the reactive near-field zone. Simulations and measurements of the reflection coefficient and of the field patterns of a horn antenna and an oversized waveguide are reported in the last section.
