Abstract :
The authors demonstrate the contact electrode method, in which a structured electrode is pressed into contact with the crystals. Bulk periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) with 6.58 μm period, 0.3 mm thickness, and an effective interaction length of 3 mm is fabricated. A second-harmonic power of 62.5 mW with 3.2 W of CW fundamental is achieved using an Nd:YAG laser
