Abstract :
The never ending boom in technology continues to alter the way work is done. One form of technology-enabled work is telecommuting, whereby employees spend a consistent portion of their time working from home. It is a relatively new and emerging concept in the IT industry of Pakistan. This research aims to study how the different work parameters like motivation, job satisfaction, time management, economics, socio-environmental factors and teamwork are affected when the employees are telecommuting and it focuses on the acceptance of telecommuting among the Pakistani employees. The results of the study will be used to gauge the acceptance of telecommuting among people with varying experience and educational background.
