Abstract :
Technological innovations have been playing a decisive role in improving the quality of healthcare services and have introduced substantial efficiency in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and reduced mortality rate. EMS is not given the due importance in Pakistan, where a major portion of emergency is being dealt by the public sector hospitals. Research is going on internationally to efficiency in the EMS, but not much attention is given to it so far, locally. This research paper suggests an abstract level mechanism for the transmission of patient and associated emergency information to the care facility, over the cellular networks, which can be used by the hospital staff and physicians in advance preparation and assistance, prior patients handover to the care facility.
