Abstract :
Studying the natural resources, environment, and socioeconomic development of China´s mountain areas is difficult without a clear quantification of those mountains. Quantification is also essential for developing digital mountains. Using GIS and the digital elevation model, this research effort quantified and classified China´s mountains according to domestic and international criteria.
