Abstract
The duopoly in UK telecommunications has ended now and competition in the industry is allowed within certain rules. The author examines the outcome of the Government´s review and compares it to the IEE´s response. The IEE proposes that the issuing of licences should take account of the ability to sustain viability as the sudden demise of an operator could leave customers with substantial problems
