Abstract :
The author presents (d, k) run-length limited (RLL) data compression codes which combine source/channel codes for a storage channel, and proposes a new encoding scheme of data storage systems which effectively uses the given storage space. By using the combined source/channel codes and the proposed new encoding scheme, more data can be written into a storage system
