Abstract :
Strong intermodal discrimination is demonstrated for anti-guided diode-laser arrays designed to operate in a resonant condition for the inphase mode. These resonant-optical-waveguide (ROW) arrays radiate in a diffraction-limited beam up to 1.5 W under pulsed operation and 360 mW under CW operation, without need for active phase control.
