Abstract
The effects of attenuation and depolarisation along the Earth-space path on a dual-polarised 21 GHz-band digital broadcasting satellite service are studied by using both theoretical and measured attenuation and depolarisation relations. It is concluded that the effects of rain- and ice-depolarisation are not significant for digital modulation
