Abstract
High signal power launching transmission was made possible by stimulated Brillouin scattering suppression owing to the spectrum spreading inherently induced by the cross-phase modulation. Eight 2.5 Gbit/s channels of WDM (20 Gbit/s), 423 km repeaterless transmission, with +27 dBm launched power, and no more than 500 mW remotely pumped preamplification, has been successfully demonstrated
