Abstract :
1 Tbits/s (100×10.7 Gbit/s) transPacific transmission has been demonstrated by using 30 nm-wide single-stage 980 nm-pumped C-band optical repeaters. The average Q factor of the 100 channels was 14.3 dB without FEC after 7.750 km transmission and flat performance characteristics for almost all the channels were achieved. Even after 10.050 km transmission, an average Q of 12.8 dB was obtained
