Abstract :
A pattern recognition method for retrieving objects embedded in the seafloor by exploiting a parametric sonar system is presented. The evaluation of the suggested method, based on real data acquired by a sonar system, yielded very satisfactory results despite poor signal-to-reverberation ratio
