Abstract :
Professor He George Booker, 77, died of a California. He was a renowned and highly respected educator and scientist. He was born m Barking, Essex, England in 1910. Excelling in mathematics, he gained entrance to Cambridge University, where he received a BA degree in 1933 and a PhD degree in 1936, specializing in pure and applied mathematics and ionospheric physics. He was awarded the Smith prize in 1935, and thereafter became a Research Fellow of Christ´s College. The professor´s professional contributions are briefly outlined.
